Dr. K. N. Srivastava presently is Senior Consultant and Head, Deptt. of General & Minimal Access Surgery at the BLK Super Speciality Hospital, Pusa Road, New Delhi.
Dr. K. N. Srivastava was the first surgeon of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital New Delhi who started laparoscopic Surgery at the Hospital in June, 1997 and is continuously pursuing advanced Laparoscopic Surgery including Metabolic and Obesity Surgery till date.
Dr. K. N. Srivastava took Voluntary Retirement from the post of Prof. Surgery & Head of Surgical Unit, PGIMER, Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi in Nov 2011. He acquired three decades of surgical experience in PGIMER, Dr R M L Hospital, New Delhi as Surgeon, Sr.Surgeon, Consultant Surgeon, Assoc.Prof. & Professor of Surgery. With 24 Years Experience of teaching Post graduate (M.S Surgery) students of Delhi University & G.G.S. Indraprastha University at PGIMER, Dr RML Hosp N. Delhi, he has undertaken Eight Research Projects at PGIMER, Dr RML Hospital, New Delhi.
Dr. K. N. Srivastava is also the Examiner of M.B.B.S. & M.S (Surgery) in medical Colleges across India. He is appraiser of DNB Courses in Surgery in different major hospitals of Delhi and has been involved in Training & Teaching of Laparoscopic Surgeons all over the country for last 12 years.
Dr. K. N. Srivastava , has published/presented more than 60 papers in various surgical Journals/Conferences, both National and International [Including one at 7th World Congress of Endoscopic Surgery at Singapore (June-2000) & One at 10th World Congress of Endoscopic Surgery at Berlin (Germany) – September 2006]. He has attended more than 250 National and International Conferences / Workshops in India and abroad as delegate / faculty. He is founder member of Hernia Society of India - National Chapter of Asia Pacific Hernia Society, he is past president of Delhi State Chapter of Association of Surgeon of India. He is also Life member of ASI, IAGES, ELSA, AMASI, APHS, IHS and OSSI. He has organized more than 20 National/State level Conferences / CMEs.
Dr. K. N. Srivastava, has delivered more than 50 Guest Lectures at National / International Conferences all over India & Abroad. Has been the operating faculty during live workshops at National and International Conferences on more than 20 occasions.
Dr. K. N. Srivastava, has undertaken advanced training in Laparoscopic and G.I. Surgery at Dundee (Scotland) with Prof. Alfred Cushiari and University of South California, L.A. (U.S.A.) with Prof. Namir Kathkouda and Prof. Jeffery Peters and Laparoscopic Urology at Tulane University, New Orleans (U.S.A.) with Prof. Raju Thomas.
